Hello world! I’ve been MIA for the last two weeks, but I’m back! This past month has been quite the whirlwind of events- I graduated from college! It still hasn’t sunk in completely yet, but I made it. I’ve also recently moved into my first apartment and have just been able to start settling into it.
There were several senior week events leading up to commencement that only made the whole “graduating” thing even more surreal. The best being what I’d like to call “college prom” or our Commencement Ball at the New England Aquarium.
I had a great time celebrating this accomplishment with my friends and fellow Classmates of 2015. Can’t tell you how much fun it was to celebrate at a formal in an aquarium!
The day before the Ball was a dinner cruise that, as windy and chilly as it was, was also tons of fun. Our school and class council really went all out with some of the senior week events. I’m super grateful to have spent the last four years with some of the most amazing, powerful, and beautiful people that I have come to call some of my closest friends.
Now onto the next chapter!

In addition to the events of the past two weeks, I’ve also been lucky enough to have been featured by two really awesome media projects. Enjoying the nice weather a few days ago with my college roommate at the Boston Common I was stopped by Iliana and Mu from We, Ceremony, a growing visual platform dedicated to women of color. Asked for a photo, I happily obliged super excited to be a part of a project with such a great mission as theirs.
Also, several weeks ago I got to have a photoshoot taken by my friend and high femme goddess, Larissa Pienkowski, fashion editor at Thistle Magazine for an interview feature in their latest issue! I can’t put into words how much this feature means to me, or how excited I was to send a copy of the issue to my mom. Let’s just say I haven’t stopped smiling about it since it came out.
