I JUST WANNA BREAK THE RULES

So I kinda made it known to my friends on campus that I haven’t been to an actual concert. By ‘actual concert’ I mean one where I bought tickets for it and had the whole experience of being in a crowd and watching an actual performance. I have been to shows, like jazz concerts at the park etc. So yesterday, I was invited by a good friend to see Charli XCX perform at her cousin’s school. And I was totally on board. While not a huge fan of her music personally, I do know a few songs and am a huge fan of any music with a good beat that I can dance to.

Please disregard the laundry supplies in the corner. College living means lack of storage space…

Charli XCX put on one hell of an energetic show! It was tons of fun and I danced the entire concert. Was worth it for a first experience!

The concert took place at Wellesley College which is a women’s-centered college, so the crowd was mostly women. At the end of the concert, Charli XCX remarked how “cool” the energy in the room was and yelled “Pussy Power” to which the crowd, myself included, cheered.

Here’s a clip of Charli XCX’s new single “Break the Rules”!
(Sorry for the crappy video, all photos and video were taken on my iPhone.)

I can’t believe you had never been to a concert before! I’m so glad that your first one was a good experience, it seemed like the vibes were really going!

Haha, yeah that was most of my friends’ reactions when I told them. And, thanks, it was definitely a good time. 🙂
